Subalpine daisies and other wildflowers bloom along the Deadhorse Creek Trail at Paradise, on the south slope of Mount Rainier.
Mount Rainier is an active stratovolcano and the most glaciated peak in the contiguous United States. Its meadows flower in a short burst each summer, usually from mid-July into August.
